CertWise: Security+ is a study app for the CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701) exam. It is built to work without collecting your personal information. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your data.
Nothing. CertWise does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no third-party trackers.
Your study progress (which cards you have reviewed, your spaced-repetition schedule, streaks, and mastery) is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud, this data is synced privately through your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. That sync is handled entirely by Apple within your private iCloud; the developer cannot see or access it. You can turn iCloud sync off at any time in your device settings.
CertWise can send you local due-review reminders. These are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification content ever leaves your phone, and no server is involved.
CertWise Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives your payment details; Apple handles the transaction. Purchase validation happens on-device through Apple's StoreKit.
CertWise is a professional certification study tool and is not directed at children. Because it collects no data, it poses no data-privacy risk to users of any age.
